It’s tough to beat a weekend of events like this in St George. Starting with Alex Boyé’s Small Town tour concert going on tonight at Desert Hills High School. Alex Boyé is an world renowned singer who has performed for the likes of Prince Charles, and X-Factor, America’s Got Talent and more. Born in London, England by a mother with Nigerian descent, he has sold more than 500,000 albums, with ten to hits in more than 15 countries. He spent several years as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s principal soloist (he’s since retired from the choir).

So bottom line there are few more renowned singers who’ve stopped in St George to showcase their incredible talent, than Mr Boyé. So head towards Desert Hills High School tonight to see him live. The cost is $12 – 20, which is well worth seeing someone as talented at him.

Don’t Miss Out on Miss Saigon

The rights to Miss Saigon are no longer available in the United States so if you miss out on it here in St George, the next place you’ll be able to see it from is only on Broadway in 2017. It’s a musical adaptation set in the Vietnam War era, and it highlights some of the issues that both sides had to confront. On top of the relevant issues it brings up, it is also a love story that will warm your heart. It’s playing for 4 nights only at the St George Electric Theater on Tabernacle, and features an all-star cast with some outside talent and some local favorites. The cost to attend is $20 for adults and $18 for seniors.

Battle of the Bands at Jazzy Java

Jazzy Java is known as one of the best live music locations in all of St George.  They try really hard to get top notch talent in town and they do a fantastic job with their battle of the bands concerts. This is their Round Two so they’ve whittled away at a few of them, and only the best are remaining. The starting time is 8 pm, and the admission fee is $5, well worth it!

GeorgeFest Turned into LoveFest

This months GeorgeFest and been changed to LoveFest to celebrate one of the best holidays of the year. It includes a bunch of live music, a kissing booth, food vendors, and more. It’s going on tonight from 6 – 10 pm on St George’s main street, and best of all admission is free!
