The In-N-Out Burger is one of the most successful chains of fast food restaurants in the US. They have locations all over California, as well as the rest of the American Southwest, including the city of St. George in Utah. Established in 1948, the burger restaurant is famous for their mouthwatering selection of burgers.

History of In-N-Out

The fast food chain was founded by a team of husband and wife, Harry Snyder and Esther Snyder. They started the first ever restaurant in Baldwin Park, CA, in the year 1948. They have their headquarters in Irvine and as time went by, the company has opened branches in Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Utah and soon enough, they have become one of the biggest fast food chains in the country.

Currently, the restaurant is owned and operated by Lynsi Torres, who is the only grandchild of the Snyder couple. By December of 2013, the company has a total number of 18,000 employees on their 290 locations nationwide.

Each location has a regional distribution center close by. As the chain expanded, they began opening several distribution centers aside from its first ever distribution center in Baldwin Park.

The In-N-Out is hailed for their ability to serve only the finest burgers made out of the freshest ingredients, thus, they are hailed as one of the top 10 places to eat in St. George. They were able to accomplish this all because of their ability to establish distribution centers close to their branches.

The company has not also considered the idea of franchising their brand. They have never gone public as well for they want to be able to uphold the quality of their products as well as the excellent customer service.

The company is also being praised in the industry for their best practices, such as their being employee centered. They are among the few fast food chains that pay their employees significantly more than what the state has implemented.

Menu Varieties

The menu of In-N-Out Burger consists of three burger variants. First is the hamburger, second is the cheeseburger and third is the Double-Double, which means double meat and double cheese.

Aside from burgers, they also have fries and fountain drinks available, as well as several different flavors of milkshakes.

The burgers come with tomato, lettuce and onions, although customers can request for the onion to be removed. They can also choose to have them fresh or grilled and they can also choose to have a sauce in their burgers, which is called the “spread”. It’s a variant of the Thousand Island dressing.
