The choices for activities in southern Utah this weekend are quite large. Fall in southern Utah is most peoples favorite time of year as the temperatures get cooler, the leaves change colors, and footballs on. As well nearly every weekend there’s a small town festival going on, and this weekends no different with New Harmony’s Apple Festival. Believe it or not but New Harmony has some of the best tasting apples anywhere, so much so that their Apple Festival is quickly becoming a must attend event every fall.
But for those looking to add a little scare to your month then we’ll start with the Haunted Mansion.
Fiesta Fun’s Haunted Mansion
One of the best haunted houses in St George is going on now at Fiesta Fun. This is a two-story haunted house that is open for kids ages 5 and up. The cost is $8.85 per person and completely worth it.
It’s open now until October 31st, Monday – Thursday 7 – 11pm, Friday and Saturday 7 – 12pm. Located at Fiesta Fun Center 171 E. 1160. in St George.
Live United LIVE
One of the biggest live music events of the year is going on this weekend in the St George Town Square. In fact the headliner is Howard Jones, a British pop icon that you might need to be a little older to have enjoyed, but who in his hay day was quite the sensation, and he’s in little old St George Saturday.
They’ll have a bunch of food available on top of the live music. There’s also one of Utah’s own country music signers Eric Dodge who will be performing, as well as some gospel choirs, celtic rockers, and some bluegrass favorites. This is a charity event so there will be some giveaways and raffles going on. It begins at 9 am and ends at 10 pm Saturday night.
New Harmony Apple Festival
The New Harmony festival is tomorrow in New Harmony’s city park, which besides having views for days of the Kolob Fingers, you’ll get to partake in some amazing apples. The admission is free, and it’s an annual fundraiser for their fire department. The use the funds to buy life saving equipment for their fire district, so it’s a good cause as well, and remember admission is free.
