There are so many different reasons to visit St. George during the Holidays. Using all common sense here… WARMTH. Okay, so maybe St. George isn’t the southern tip of Florida warm.. However, St. George is known for having over 300 days of sunshine per year. Temperatures here are mild in the winter compared to the rest of Utah, making it a fantastic holiday vacation destination.
Here winters are so mild that you are still able to enjoy the great outdoors without freezing your tail off! Even just enjoy taking a walk on one of the many bike trails we have here in town, or enjoy horseback riding, biking, hiking and so much more! The possibilities are endless when you get as much sunshine as we do here in St. George!

Small Town City Life
Due to the mild winters here, we are able to keep our city life alive even during the night time! Downtown St. George never seems to slow down with the hustle and bustle of locals and visitors enjoying the beauty of the historic buildings, eating amazing foods, walking through the stunning Christmas lit trees in Townsquare Park, or capturing the fun at George Streetfest every first Friday of the month! There is so much to enjoy in downtown even during the more chilly days.

Temple Lights
The temple here in St. George is quite the sight to behold in itself, and you can see it from nearly every edge of town, but during this time of year, it really becomes something special. Walking around the temple and viewing the Christmas light display is one of the most popular activities here in St. George for families.
Tuacahn – Christmas In The Canyon
Yet another very famous and popular tourist destination in St. George is Tuacahn. During the winter months they too tend to set the city aglow with their festive lighting. Not only do they know how to put on an amazing light show, but they’re Nativity live play is something that will bring warmth to your heart along with their tasty hot coco!
Dickens Festival
This is an annual event held each year at the Dixie Center. This festival will surely bring warmth, happiness and Christmas joy to you and your loved ones hearts as you walk from one end to the other enjoying homemade holiday treats, decor and more! If you’re a local, you’ve probably already purchased tickets a year in advance! Definitely something that you do not want to miss out on!
